Widely regarded as the world’s "Ultimate Tarmac Rally", the Targa Tasmania attracts a very competitive field with competitors from Japan and many points of the motoring world.

Having experienced the Toyo Proxes RA-1 at club level competition and street events associated with the Australian Grand Prix Rally with reasonable success, the next challenge was the ultimate test, the Targa Tasmania.

The Targa Tasmania is an exciting six days special stage tarmac rally, with a total distance of approximately 2,250km, of which incorporates 44 Special (Targa) Stages that add up to 645 competitive kilometres.

At the Gala finish at Hobart's Wrest Point Hotel Casino after five days of

 torture and excitement, the TOYO RA1's had 5mm of tread depth remaining ! (Original tread depth is 6.4mm)

The Proxes RA-1's provided excellent wear capability under extreme conditions &  provided a level of grip that inspired confidence to the team. In short they withstood the ultimate test very well, thanks Toyo.
