Toyo Tire
& Rubber Co Ltd was established in Osaka Japan in 1945 and now has seven
subsidiary companies across the world. The company has continued to exceed
its reputation, being the first Japanese tyre manufacturer to establish an
overseas sales subsidiary, based in the U.S.A. A Test Tyre Course was built
in 1975 in Miyazaki prefecture, the first of its kind by a Japanese
manufacturer, and built another in Saroma, Hokkaido for Toyo’s snow tyre
range.
2005
holds even more importance for Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Limited, as we
celebrate our 30th year in Australia. The company in Australia
has come along way from its early days of specialising in OTR (earthmover)
tyres. We now have an extensive range of tyre products, with a reputation
for performance and quality.
Toyo Tyre
& Rubber Australia Limited has invested back into Australia, by developing a
rubber mixing plant at Moorebank (NSW) and manufacturing plants for
automotive parts at Enfield (NSW) and Sunshine (VIC). Ensuring Toyo is on
the leading edge of Technology, we have invested heavily with substantial
plant and technical upgrades for the rubber mixing facility during its
current relocation to Minto (NSW).
During
1992, Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Limited’s investment into Australia
continued, with a new plant at Sunshine Melbourne. This plant produces
polyurethane instrumental panel for vehicle companies such as Toyota and
Mitsubishi.
Toyo Tire
& Rubber Co Ltd and Toyo Tyre & Rubber Australia Limited would like to thank
all our partners and customers, for their assistance in helping Toyo reach
these milestones. We look forward to a great future. |
